Hello Marie,

I am Amie, obviously lol. I am 24, and have a beautiful daughter called Tamsyn, she is 2 yrs old. I am engaged to Tim, have been together for 6 six years.

Unfortunatly, I lead a very busy life with my little girl, and I work 2 night shifts a week, so am asleep most of Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but I will try to get on for a natter when I can.

Look forward to chatting.

Hello again.

How's you? I am knackered today. I was up til just after 1am doing some studying, and then my daughter woke up poorly at 0630 and I been up ever since. I am so so tired. And today, I gotta work a night shift tonight, and I gotta go to Medway hospital to see my consultant at 2pm. No rest for me.

Where do you work? What do you do?

I am a nurse in emergency medicine at Darenth Valley. Only work two night shifts a week so not too bad, but its the time of year when all my resus and manual handling and health and safety all need up-dating, so its the study days that are killing me.

Slwoing down alot now, so ill ahve more time for a chat soon. I have my last study day on Wednesday and then I am all done. Atlast.

You been enjoying the lovely weather? Do you have children?

Hahaha, I used to burn too, but since having my daughter I don't burn half as much. Some kind of hormonal change???

No, I haven't heard of Little Stars, only the yoghurts lol. I don't really know Gravesend, my knowledge is very limited.

Not bad thanks. Had another moving and handling study day yesterday morning, and got my final resus study day this afternoon, then ill be all done for a year! Atlast.

You wanna move from Gravesend, or from your job? Do you own your home? Its so hard at the minute, our mortgage is 1000 a month, just under. So expensive now to be home owners.

We would love to move. We keep getting house re-valued and look around, and get all excited and decide that we are moving. Then the interest rates go up again and we cancel all our plans. I think we should just do it, but Tim is too sensible.

We too, want to move away from all the hustle and bustle. We like things quiet and peaceful, and we want a garden where we have no neighbours so don't have people looking out their windows when we are having a fire in out BBQ lol.

ah sounds like you have a good man there, is better to have a sensible man who knows how to handle money, then one who blows it and ends up in serious debt!

I am doing naff all!! Tamsyn still not very well, this chest infection is sticking around a while. I gotta take Tamsyn to the dentist today though....I hate dentists, I am really nervous. But back to work tomorrow night, so thats my week over!

working silly hours this week, 1-7 not moaning or anything because gives me a chance to catch up on my cleaning & ironing ( oh what joy ) im looking forward to the weekend, going to a wedding, hav'nt been to one for ages, and its my best friend, i still think she is mad to get married at 19, seeing as she has'nt been with him that long, what is the rush these days? if i marry it wont b till im a lot older and i would have least have to had to be with my partner a good 10yrs, that is a good indicator that the marriage could last if you have been together that long !

10yrs! wow thats a long time. Tim and I been together 6 yrs, and have lived together for 4 of those, so we know we are all set. But 19...wow thats young. Does the poor girl really know what she is letting herself in for at that age. I mean, many teenagers are very sensible and know whats what....but marriage is definatly something you don't wanna rush into when you are young!

I love a good wedding. I have been to more funerals lately then weddings!! We have been invited to a wedding reception in July, should be great fun. Its in a farm under marquees, with barn dancing and hog roast, and free alcohol all night. And it is completely child free, so no noisy kids running about getting in the way! And the land is privately owned, so we are all taking tents and camping out the night, and the Groom has arranged for a breakfast do in the morning! I am so badly looking forward to it.

Will be lovely to go out with no children, and have the whole night away to relax and just be me for a while.

I too....should be doing washing and dusting etc.....but I ahve had such a hectic time the past couple of weeks, that I am now just turning lazy, and cant be bothered to move. But lots of play time with Tamsyn which is great, and then I can do my wii fit in afternoons when she is asleep. I would love to have a cleaner.

oh me aswell, i clean then its a mess by the night, annoying really and i only have the 1 child, dread to think what it would b like with 2, my friend who is getting married her bf is a complete waste of space, they have a 1yr old son, he has never changed his nappy, he hardly see's him, he will get up in the morning, go out all day with his mates and he may come back at night, and in some cases the next night! he dont work, she works and has to pay for his clothes, fags etc, of course he isnt going to leave, he has it good, because i certainly wouldnt put up with that, but she is totally in love with him, i have tried talking to her, but it dont help, she will just have to learn the hard way !

Re: Amie and Marie - May

Post by Amie on Tue May 20, 2008 1:13 pm

Sometimes, it is best to just stand by and watch the "mistake" happen, and then just be there to pick up the peices when things go wrong. It hurts, I know. I have done it a couple of times...sat and watched my friend venture places she shouldnt go, and she never listened to me, or anyone.....but as long as your friend knows you are there to help afterwards, then sometimes its just best!

LOL, Tim would never get away without changing a nappy. Tamsyn is almost potty trained completely now, so doesnt happen often but....He just wouldnt have got away with it!! Fortunatly, Tim is very hands on with Tamsyn, he loves playing with her and doing her hair and bits.....but when it comes to housework he is a waste of space! But I let that slide as he makes up for it with Tamsyn.

Are you with someone?

Re: Amie and Marie - May

Post by Amie on Tue May 20, 2008 3:25 pm

When I did my youth workers diploma I started a club at Highfield youth centre for children with adhd, aspergers, down syndrome, and all types of autism really. The after-school club was run by me at the centre, and I supplied the volunteers to help supervise, but the children came from Parents Consortium in Hextable, for which Tim was working for. So he had to supervise his children, and I had to supervise my volunteers. I was with a monster at the time and had little confidence etc...but Tim was lovely and handsome and great, and he gave me his mobile number. I text him one night when I was waiting for neil to come home, and he told me he fancied me and wanted to take it further if I wanted to, and he gave me the confidence that I had needed for yrs to dump my ex. So that Friday night I dumped Neil, when he got in from work, and then Tim took me out on the Saturday.

Tim was a rebound man that worked, and is still working very well.

So I have no idea where you go to meet nice men. I have only had 2 men in my life......one was a c*** and the other is Tim. I have never had to go looking for anyone.

You won't always be alone, there is someone out there for everyone somewhere. Just quit looking and concentrate on you and your family and work, and once things are settled and good, then start have a look a bout. I sometimes think people try to hard, no-one is single forever unless they choose to be.

Hello,

Sorry I disappeared for a while. Been so so busy.

But on the plus side...we have booked our wedding at long last....and its a date to keep regardless of what anyone else says!

Tamsyn has been so poorly lately. She eventually got rid of that chest infection, then about a week later she had a viral infection! Then she has little ulcers inside her cheeks which made her really miserable, and then an upset tummy. I had a nice week off where all was good, then yesterday she woke up miserable and clingy....which is always the start of her coming down with something!! Wonder what it could possibly be this time!

How are you? Still working hard?

I am, bloody well knackering me out it is!

And eventhough I been away so long, we are still the most talkative.....what on earth does that say! lol
